The Cool Spring Terrace Civic Association (CSTCA) Web site has a new look and a new URL. Information that introduced the site at the old URL is now on the About page and is repeated here was an introduction to the new site. On the About page, you will also find a list of the images used in the rotating banner in the Photo Credits and legal stuff about the site.
A full list of other pages linked to from the About page and other pages in the site is in the Sidebar under the heading “CSTCA Pages”. The Sidebar also includes links to sites in various categories, Twitter RSS feeds, our Flickr photo album with selected Flickr groups, H1N1 flu watch widgets in English and Spanish, an event calendar, and more. Some items in the Sidbar are not yet filled out but will be when posts are created and assigned to categories, and tags are added. More can be added as we go along.
I hope you enjoy the new design and please use the Contact Us form to send in suggestions for the site. If you’d like to get an e-mail message when a new item is posted to the blog, fill in your e-mail address in the “Subscribe to Notices About Posts” area of the Sidebar. (Some of you received a message about this post; you were presubscribed.)
From the About Page
This site gives you instant access to community information and events near the Cool Spring Terrace community in and around Adelphi, Maryland and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
You do not have to be a neighbor to enjoy this site. Read announcements from the Cool Spring Terrace Civic Association (CSTCA), add your comments, check activities, and find resources.
Our community is nestled among the trees across from the University of Maryland’s 18-hole golf course, just before the intersection of Adelphi Road and University Boulevard. The photo is an aerial view derived from the multiscale United States Geological Survey maps made available through the University of California.

The purpose of the Cool Spring Terrace Civic Association is to ensure a good quality of life in the neighborhood by sharing information to keep it safe, by bonding with our neighbors, and by ensuring that property values stay up because property standards are maintained.
